Tonight is another Eat the Street.  It is located at 555 South Street in Kakaako and will be from 4-9pm.  This month's them is Eat Local so they have partnered with Kanu Hawaii for this event.  About 25 street food vendors are anticipated to take part in tonight's Eat the Street event.  This is an opportunity to try some of those food trucks that you can never make it to during your lunch hour.  In my experience, be prepared for long lines and crowds of people.  I suggest you get there before 4pm if it's at all possible.

Also happening tonight is Art After Dark at the Honolulu Academy of Arts.  It is from 6-9pm and $10 for non-members.  There will be 70's Disco music and dancing as this month's theme.

On Saturday evening, how about checking out the Haunted Lagoon at the Polynesian Cultural Center.  I went to experience this several years ago with my friends and my brother's family of kids.  That night that we went, it was pouring cats and dogs!  I couldn't believe how much rain was coming down, but there were still hundreds of people in line waiting for the Haunted Lagoon boat ride.  We purchased ponchos from the Polynesian Cultural Center and stuck it out in the rain like everyone else.  It really didn't matter that it was raining hard, it sort of added to the haunting experience and we all had a blast!  I hope to check it out again this year, but perhaps on a night without rain storms in the forecast!  ;)

On Sunday, after taking a look at the new open houses, don't forget about Yoga in the Park

Have a great weekend!
