I attended an update about "Our Kakaako" given by Kamehameha Schools Commercial Real Estate Division. The progress and planning sounds like it's coming along well. After listening to this presentation, I was able to take a look at 8 penthouses in one of the recently built condominium high-rises that is sort of in the Kakaako area, 909 Kapiolani.

909 Kapiolani was built in 2007 and it is located on the corner of Kapiolani Boulevard and Ward Avenue. An open house was being held for 8 penthouse units that are currently listed by Prudential Locations so it was a good opportunity for me to get familiar with a lot of the penthouse units in the building in one visit.

Take a look at the link and see the interior photos of each unit. Several of these units have 270+ degree views. The 36th floor units have large roof top decks!
