I attended the Broker's Forum this afternoon where we reviewed, with the Standard Forms Panel, the New Purchase Contract that will become active on May 1, 2012. Are you currently planning to buy or sell a home? Depending on the timing of the sale or purchase, you and your Realtor could be using this new contract. Are you and your Realtor familiar with all the changes in it? You should review it ahead of time so that when the contract is presented to you for your signatures, you fully understand it.
Take a look at all the changes and the possible points of termination.
